A reality star moves back to his hometown after being on a popular dating show.  He brings back with him a hot new girlfriend, stardom and old feelings for his high school sweetheart…someone has to get eliminated.

SYNOPSIS:

“Facing Reality” is a romantic comedy about a reality star name Jeff Causewell and his relationship dilemmas. Jeff is America’s top bachelor and several women compete for his love on his popular dating show. When it gets down to the final three he has to make a tough decision as to which girl will be the future Mrs. Causewell. He makes his decision by picking Megan, the petite Barbie doll girl that you would love to show off to your friends. After the airing of the season finale, the two come out into the public light and express their love to the world.

When they make an appearance on a popular morning radio show they get into a minor disagreement as to where the two will settle down and live. Megan wants to stay in Los Angeles and Jeff wants to move back to his small hometown in Pennsylvania, much to Megan’s surprise. Now that Megan is a recognizable face she is prepping herself for stardom. Jeff, on the other hand, isn’t getting much fulfillment out of the entertainment industry and wants to leave it all behind. After a heated argument off the air Megan compromises and moves to Pennsylvania with Jeff.

When they arrive Jeff instantly feels at home while Megan gets claustrophobic from being in the small town environment. Jeff’s friends throw him a surprise welcome home party; little did he know that this party would complicate things for the rest of his days at home. He runs into his ex-girlfriend, Allison, the wholesome “girl next door” that any parent would love to call their daughter-in-law. Jeff’s actions show that she still holds a special place in his heart but he manages to control his emotions now that he’s in a new relationship. As time unfolds, Jeff is realizing that Megan isn’t what she’s all cracked up to be now that the cameras are off. As Megan’s shallowness is being revealed, the love he has for Allison is becoming more prevalent. Just like on the show, Jeff has to make a decision on who will be eliminated from his heart but he still manages to mess that up by choosing an unexpected route that throws the whole town for a loop.
