U.F.O. UNUSUALLY FISHY OBSERVATIONS
By Max Wilson

GENRE: Comedy, Animation
LOGLINE: A group of underwater creatures encounter the unexplained as fish start to go missing from the lake.

SYNOPSIS:

A group of trout live in a lake that has not been touched by humans in many decades. They go about their mundane life trying to find excitement where they can but life underwater is about to change. William, along with his wife Mary, his three kids, a family friend and their dog Masha come to check out the house that overlooks the lake. The house had been left to William after his estranged father died and William wishes to sell it. While staying at the house, the two youngest kids and Masha enjoy their time by going on epic make believe adventures, the oldest daughter and her best friend realise that they have feelings for each other more then just friendship and William gets to see into the life his alcoholic father had lived all alone in the house. While William is trying to come to terms with the feelings he holds for his father, he goes fishing to clear his mind. Underwater, one of the trout named George witnesses a strange craft appear and then his best friend gets abducted. This is simply the result of William fishing in a boat but as this lake has been untouched for many years, the fish do not understand what is happening and see the craft as a U.F.O. George befriends a crayfish called Tom, an eel called Richard and another trout named Linda and they all start to investigate the recent disappearances. They witness many strange events as the humans swim and fish in the lake which ultimately results in the life underwater getting together to plan an attack on the creatures who are taking their friends and family. One day while William is out on the lake reading an emotional letter his father left him, the fish, crayfish and eels conduct an all out assault on the boat causing it to sink and William to swim for shore. The fish rejoice as they claim victory over the lake as the humans depart. While leaving the house, William has chosen to forgive his father and keep the house for the family. He introduces the family to his fathers gravestone and lets him be at peace.
