Kicked out of med school, a wanna be doctor takes a job treating the
undead in a zombie-themed amusement park, struggling to study zombie
anatomy and make friends - including the one zombie who can talk

SYNOPSIS:

The Walking Dead meets Fawlty Towers

ZOMBIE PARK explores the world of entry-level employment in a bizarre setting,

where the ordinary contrasts with the horrific and each character has their own way

of coping.

The tone is absurd, the characters accustomed to the times they live in -

post-zombie apocalypse - and their individual arcs explore their dreams, fears, and

lives - in and outside the park.

Originally conceived as a feature project, it seemed better suited to the sitcom format

considering the characters and circumstances

CAST:

JOSH, 24, Keeps failing to get into med school and hopes to learn more anatomy

from the undead. Sympathetic to the zombie’s plight, he cultivates a friendship with

Abner, the friendly zombie.

RAVEN (aka Becky), 19, Obsessed goth zombie fan. Gleefully morbid.

DEREK, 21, Thinks he’s “street” but is more “astro turf” and just wants a job.

Superstar of the show in his head.

ABNER, 48 (when he became undead), The fully lucid and friendly zombie who

helps them along the way. Affable chain smoking philosopher.

KYLE, 32, The snarky team leader for Z Park employees (whom he refers to as

“undead heads”). Enjoys the perks of being in charge.

BOB, 45, Beer-addled staff supervisor. Happily hands over most duties to Kyle.

DOC DEBBY, 32, Park doctor to both the living and the undead, studies what makes

the zombies tick - or not. Tight-lipped about her background and agenda.

SHAYLA, 28, Gift store manager and cynical yet heroic veteran of the war against

the zombies. Loves to keep up with family and friends while scowling at everyone

else.

EPISODE 1 - “Everybody Pukes on the First Day”

OVERTURE: we meet zombie Abner. He relates the story about the zombie

outbreak and the creation of Zombie Park.

INDOCTRINATION: In first day’s training, the three newbies learn about zombie park

and the rules of zombie interaction - don't harass the zombies, don't eat zombie

food, don't fuck the zombies ... (you’d be surprised what people get up to at Zombie

Park). And they’re introduced to the easy-listening playlist that they use to keep the

zombies relaxed and amenable to wrangling.

They visit the gift shop and meet Shayla, veteran of zombie wars, learning about her

adventures and employee discounts (10% of every item except for flesh-pops and

licorice fingers).

They take on their first duty - chucking cow heads into the park enclosure. It’s lunch

time for zombies!

CRISIS: Derek leaps over the enclosure wall when he thinks he spots his missing

uncle among the undead, and ends up trapped in the zombie "socialization yard"

precipitating a rescue mission by the rest of the Z Park staff.

RESOLUTION: A lecture for Derek and a mandatory anti-zombie vaccination from

Doc Debby for everyone - in the ass.
