DINNER AT MOM'S

DINNER AT MOM'S
By Joe Bronzi

GENRE: Comedy
LOGLINE:

A half-hour multi-cam that takes place around Momma’s Italian Sunday dinner table. Favorite son Mike, perpetually-single sister Maria, impassive Buddha-like brother Johnny, and black sheep of the family kid-brother Frankie gather weekly at their mother’s table to eat, laugh, and live out loud.

SYNOPSIS:

Mike is a professional card player who is suddenly single. His crazy soon-to-be ex-wife Amy has left him (and the kids) and moved in with his mother, making Sunday dinner at Momma’s house a loaded affair. His kids (busybody Kathy and awkward Jimmy) struggle with their parents marital problems, puberty, and their cousin Sal’s perversions. His sister Maria tries desperately not to turn into their mother, his brother Frankie causes as much trouble as he can, and his older brother Johnny presides over every dinner with the inner calm of either a philosopher or a hit-man. And at the head of the table is Momma, a matriarch who loves them all fiercely, proudly, and relentlessly.
