SYNOPSIS:

Gail works at a driving school that has been passed down through the family, but has aspirations to being a musician and editor and feels she's on the outside trying to do what she loves as opposed to what she has to do for work in a family business. Her brother, Ferris, is much more heavily into it being a business, and can't see anything else for Gail to do outside of that. Through giving lessons to an alien being, also an outsider, and finding that she can find satisfaction in teaching someone, she can balance what she wants vs what she needs, and can rise above being under the thumb of her brother.
