SYNOPSIS:
This is a cross genre tentpole high concept action thriller with sci-fi and horror elements as well as a touch of humor and a satisfying feel good ending. It is a stylized feature film that can be shot largely on green screen. It is very TV friendly and suitable for ages 14 and up across the board. There is no sexual elements and the action is very high octane. Akira meets The Wild One. A mysterious white light wiped out the entire population of an island metropolis some 20 years prior. The light dissolved organic matter, but instead of killing the populace, it phased their souls into the skyscrapers leaving 27 million people in perpetual purgatory. The anger and fear of the souls expresses itself by building bending and twisting and debris falling an those that travel to the city. Ashton, a lone wolf free runner who is a mercenary on a tricked out crotch rocket, takes tourists to the haunted city, for a price. Only he and a select group of riders are fast and skilled enough to get in and out alive. This, over the years turns into a sport with an entire culture revolving around the island city. Along with his three best friends who are also the best of the best at what they do, he survives by giving thrill rides into the city and back. A mysterious beautiful woman hires Ashton to take her into the city but she has her own agenda. She is a scientist who is out to solve the mystery of the white light. As they adventure through the city, they discover survivors, solve the mystery and together with the help of every free runner and rider, finally free the souls in a spectacular ending as the heroes put down their lives to resolve the sins of their fathers.
