The brutal deaths of two teenagers haunts the residents of Marlboro, a fictitious town in North Carolina and Sandy Campbell, a student at Marlboro High School, is the victim of a mysterious masked killer, who obviously knows a lot about her mother's brutal death a year earlier. There's a lot of talk about the two teens who were murdered from reporters and the students of Marlboro High. One of the reporters, Courtney Weathers, who knows about Sandy's mother's death, thinks that Sandy's testimony put the wrong man in jail. Soon, the masked killer makes Sandy his main priority and plans to kill her after he kills some of her friends and other people in Marlboro. Just then, Billy Ulrich, Sandy's boyfriend, is questioned by Sheriff Turke and Deputy Riley, better known as Phooey, when he is suspected of the killings when he comes to rescue Sandy from the killer, who tried to kill Sandy. Then, when Billy is released from jail, he meets Sandy at school and tries to convince her that he was innocent. Later on, the killer continues to harass Sandy with menacing phone calls. Phooey and Courtney get together and investigate when the local teens get together at Sandy's house for a party. After another killing takes place at the party, the killer and the motives behind the murders as well as the motive behind Sandy's mother's death are revealed to Sandy. Then, Sandy kills the killers and Courtney and Phooey notice the killer is dead and they, as well as Sandy, go on with their lives and they will never forget the incidents that took place in Marlboro.
