A big-city soap opera star returns to her small hometown for Christmas, only to be unexpectedly roped into starring in her father’s struggling holiday play. But when she reunites with her high school sweetheart—and her producer threatens her career—she must decide where her heart truly belongs.
SYNOPSIS:
Big-city soap opera star Eve Davis has it all—glamour, success, and a demanding producer who controls her every move. But when she takes a long-overdue Christmas break in her quaint hometown of Winter Lake, Vermont, she’s suddenly roped into starring in her father’s struggling holiday play. The once-beloved community tradition is on the verge of cancellation, and Eve reluctantly agrees to step in—just for the holiday season.
Reconnecting with her roots isn’t easy, especially when she crosses paths with Jason Elder, her high school sweetheart-turned-local journalist. Sparks fly as they rekindle their connection, but complications arise when a misleading news article about Eve struggling with her lines threatens her reputation. Worse, her overbearing producer Clark Maverick demands she return to New York—or else. If she doesn’t comply, she risks losing everything she’s worked for.
As rehearsals unfold, Eve rediscovers the magic of small-town life and realizes she’s been acting her way through her own life. But with her career hanging in the balance, Jason questioning her trust, and Winter Lake counting on her, she faces an impossible choice: return to the spotlight or embrace a future filled with love, family, and true happiness.
With the town’s faith in her, a sold-out performance on Christmas Eve, and a love story waiting to be rewritten, Eve must decide where she truly belongs—before it’s too late.
