After nearly drowning off the coast of Uruguay, Jake finds himself in the care of three odd sisters; but the longer he spends with his rescuers, the more he questions whether he survived the drowning.

SYNOPSIS:

The Space Between Our Lives is a 90-page script written for a limited budget, limited cast and few locations.

The story begins with the main character, Jake Tanner, alone on the beach grieving for the loss of his late fiance. Jake enters the ocean water and is swept away by the ocean current. When he awakes he finds himself in a room of a beach house that is strangely reminiscent of his own childhood bedroom. As he begins his recovery, Jake experiences dreams of past events that are so vivid, he has difficulty distinguishing them from reality. He continues to encounter reminders and confronts the most significant events from his life. When Jake finally decides he needs to get away from the sisters, he discovers he is trapped in the antarabhāva, a place between death and rebirth.
