When seven-year-old Grayson prays for Santa to bring his mom home for Christmas, his wish is granted in unexpected ways through four crazy families in an advent study group.

SYNOPSIS:

Seven-year-old Grayson, the main character of this ensemble cast, asks Santa to bring his mom home for Christmas. At a loss, his grandparents sign up for an advent group through church.

Each family, broken in their own way, joins the study to discover how the birth of Jesus affects them. Through starring in the living nativity, racing in a holiday 5K, and tracking down a burglar dressed as Santa, their ridiculous group finds healing together.

In the end, Nick, the homeless guy in a red parka (St. Nick?), delivers the stolen presents he found. And Grayson realizes that even though his mother isn't there for him, his grandparents are a gift.
