SYNOPSIS:
Born in Reseda and raised in the shadow of his dead father Michael, Kyle Connolly is dying for something more. With a record for petty shit, his tattoos and overall bad boy look, his options have been limited. But one day, when sitting his sexy ass in the soft leather of a brand-new Lambo he comes up with the perfect plan. He has the keys, the whip and the address…what if? He’s surrounded by flash and cash on a daily basis- super stars and fancy cars. He’s been behind the wheel of Ferrari’s, Lambourghini’s, limited edition Maclarens…the good life. Only problem is, it’s not HIS life. He’s on the outskirts, the fringe. He is so close he can taste it- and a taste is all he ever gets.
The heist of Anton Nikolav, Son of the head of the LA bratva Sergei Nikolav, is the main arc. Their biggest score yet, a fuck ton of drugs and cash. Sergei finds out and is on their trail with his right-hand man, Ivan Petrovich. Ivan’s mom Irina was a high-priced call girl, and Sergei’s mistress. She gets pregnant by an African diplomat and gets clean. After witnessing a murder Sergei commits, she wants to keep Ivan from her dark life. Sergei isn’t about to let her leave. After an argument, he gives her an overdose, and raises Ivan as his own. Ivan is fiercely loyal and doesn’t know that Sergei is responsible for Irina’s death. This will be hanging over everyone’s heads for as long as it can be dragged out. To add to Sergei’s problems, the drugs Kyle and Ricky stole belong to HIS boss. His boss doesn’t know, and Sergei wants to keep I that way. Find the boys, get back the drugs, avoid the detectives…you get the picture.
On Kyle and Ricky’s tail are two detectives, Saucedo and Riley. Through a low level bratva picked up on a different charge,
they also find out about Sergei and his connection to the valets AND his role
in Irina's death. The detectives aren’t as dumb as they look, they’re pretty fucking smart actually. They use the information to try and turn Ivan against Sergei. The news will rock Ivan to the core. Finding out after all of these years, almost two decades, that the man he has looked up to, respected and protected killed his mother. Not just that, but he lied to him. Which Ivan considers an even bigger betrayal. To Ivan loyalty is EVERYTHING, and he will carefully plan his next move.
The first season centers around the planning and execution of the robbery of Anton/Sergei and the resulting consequences. Secrets will be revealed, and nothing will ever go according to plan.
