SYNOPSIS:
When you are the number one competitive eating champion of the world, there are people who want to take you down. Barry Watts had to learn this the hard way. A decade after Barry's corpulent nemesis, Willy Hurlington, sabotaged his eating career, Barry finds his life in shambles. After getting busted for stealing jewelry (which he hides in his stomach, naturally), Barry also learns about something called the 'Three Strike Law'. Two detectives explain it like this; go to jail and get touched by an inmate, or help them with an investigation. Apparently Willy H. is suspected of doing more with his ample stomach than just eating; he's been smuggling copious amount of heroin into the country. Barry's task is to rejoin the eating tour (under an alias), befriend Willy, and infiltrate the drug ring. Barry, not being a fan of getting raped in a prison shower, heartily accepts. Starting from scratch at small, local contests, Barry finds that he has lost his knack for gorging himself at break neck speed. He then seeks help from the world's greatest eater, a small Desi man who resides in the toughest part of town: Little India. Braving his fear of cows and curry, Barry convinces the Khaane Ke Raja ("The Greatest Eater") to train him. Barry falls in forbidden love with the Raja's daughter, which further complicates things. When he finally makes it to grandest eating contest of the year, Barry reaches inside himself and...dumps a bunch of food in. He wins and is soon accepted into the illicit world of narcotic smuggling. The tables ultimately turn when Barry learns who is heading the whole operation. Will Barry sacrifice his newfound success AND risk going to jail for quite a severe sentence just to protect the one he loves?
