Yet, power attracts enemies and ultimately her kingdom is attacked by the gluttonous KING GENERAL. To save her people the Flying Queen is forced to flee leaving newborn PRINCESS CATRIONA to be raised by a trusted commoner. Before she escapes, the Flying Queen uses her enchanted crystal to cast a spell over the castle hoping to protect it until she can return. As a child, the hidden Princess Catriona yearns for a life beyond her orphanage. Rule under the self-proclaimed King General is oppressive and made worse by his desperation to possess the Flying Queen’s castle. He even attempts to coronate his own daughter, PRINCESS BEDELIA, as the new “Flying Queen” to gain control of the elusive crystal. Unfortunately, this leads her younger brother, the misunderstood PRINCE HADLEY, to destroy the crystal by accident. The spell protecting the castle is broken and the King General is enraged. The kingdom is thrown into chaos. In the confusion, the young Catriona rescues Prince Hadley and they bond over their shared longing for a different life. However, running away with a prince comes at a cost and leads to the capture of MOMMA NUN, Catriona’s adoptive mother. The guilt haunts young Catriona. A decade later Catriona runs the orphanage and her dreams have long been abandoned. Without the protection of the crystal, the castle has deteriorated to the point that Elandra will flood unless the Flying Queen returns soon. Tension is high among both the poor and the wealthy. Villagers struggle for every meal as the rich indulge themselves endlessly. With the world collapsing around her, Catriona’s ambition returns as she decides to take a stand against the King General. She concocts a daring plan to steal the Flying Queen’s damaged crystal and despite the odds reunites with both the Prince Hadley and the imprisoned Momma Nun. Together they almost defeat the King General, but at the last moment Prince Hadley falls from the highest castle tower. At long last Catriona learns her real identity. In a moment of heroism uses her newly discovered power of flight to rescue Prince Hadley and overthrow the King General. Following the victory, the kingdom realizes their “Flying Queen” has been with them the entire time. Catriona steps forward in full regalia as the castle returns to its former beauty. Catriona’s vows as the new “Flying Queen” to find her long lost mother.
