In 2015, I decided I wanted to be a screenwriter. I said to myself that If I was going to do this, then I'd really go for it and try my possible best to do it well. And so for 2 years, I dedicated myself to learning, writing, and reading. I wrote a bunch of stuff, paid for a number of seminars, watched some master classes, wrote some more stuff, until one day last year, I decided I was ready to put something out there. 

It was a tiny little story, the first one I'd ever put out and I honestly wasn't expecting anything to come out of it. I'm very aware of how hard this industry is to break into, and how hard it is to not only sell scripts, but also get those scripts made. 

Yet I put it out anyway, and over the next 5 days, not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 producers emailed me expressing interest in my script. I honestly still cannot believe it. Ultimately, I sold it to one of the producers named Vis Brown and not up to a year later, I'm happy to say that the trailer for a short script I wrote in 2017 called "Kidnap in Room 12" is now out as a short movie that is titled "Abduction 207". 

It's such a weird feeling seeing words you conjured up in your head being acted out by real actors in a real movie. It's a feeling I can't ever put into words. It's a feeling I want to feel for the rest of my life. 

I am so happy about this and I'm still wrapping my brain around it. I want to thank each and every person involved in this project, and of course, I want to give a big thank you to Vis Brown for the check (which I really needed) and for doing a fantastic job with the script. 

Stage32, I also want thank you. Keep killing it! I like coming in here whenever I can to read the success stories hoping and praying one day for mine. I like seeing your recommendations, your arguments, your thoughts. It's all really inspiring and I'm just so grateful for a place like this where creatives can come together and just BE. Thank you guys. I love you lot and I've never even met most of you. That's how you know it's real.

I am so happy to finally say hi to everybody on Stage32. I've been on here for a while just being a fly on the wall lurking to see how things go and how it all works. Honestly, I'm still figuring out. However, one thing I do love is coming to the home page and seeing all of the discussions, and new ideas and productions and wisdom that everybody has to bring. It honestly makes me so happy and shows me that I'm not alone in this creative journey.

I am a screenwriter, I'm 21, and I'm still figuring all of this out. Honestly, right now, I'm just looking to do anything creatively. Get in a writer's room, work on someone's creative project...do anything!
