A determined emu defies his grounded nature to enrol in the Sky Squadron Academy, facing ridicule, challenges, and a do-or-die bet with a relentless instructor, as he discovers that heroism and making a difference don't always require flight in the face of danger.

SYNOPSIS:

“Sky Squadron” is a charming and heart-warming story about an elite bird flying academy located in the untouched Amberley Nature Reserve in Australia. They’re forced to go on an open recruitment drive when they discover the Reserve will be opened to humans for the first time.

What they didn’t anticipate was the bunch of misfits who turn up to enrol. One, in particular is an emu and of course, can’t fly. This doesn’t dampen his enthusiasm nor his determination to learn how to fly and graduate.

The progress of the misfits, who are surprisingly passing, is interrupted when illegal hunters sneak into the park with the sole purpose to capture rare and exotic bird species. The new recruits have no alternative but to join the fight to prevent the discovery of Sky Squadron headquarters by driving out the hunters.
