When water gods and goddesses  battle for love and power, the ocean depths can't hide the conflict.

SYNOPSIS:

Callista's neighbor is Triton, a Shape-Shifting Merman who she thinks is a high school genius. He saves her life but in the process she begins to change into a mermaid. Callista is freaked.

Callista discovers Triton is a merman - god and learns in his distant past he was defrocked by his father King Poseidon because he fell in love with Nehalennia, his older brother's fiancée. So Triton, now a damaged god is serving his sentence of isolation from his family and the crown while working as a scientist and medical doctor among humanity.

Proteus - Triton's older brother, never loved Nehalennia, but as a royal had to have a female to wed. He and his male lover, Njorth despise humanities' abuse of the oceans, Triton and King Poseidon. They kidnap Triton, and harm Callista as they work to overthrow King Poseidon, the benevolent ruler over our planet's waters.

(This is a cliff hanger ending because it's leading into novel two of the Ocean Depths Series. The scripts can be a TV series like Vampire Diaries or movie series like Game of Thrones.)
