SYNOPSIS:
Synopsis: While on a morning run, Cassi stops at a garage sale and buys a tattered detective novel. As soon as Cassi starts reading the book, her carefully ordered life begins to unravel; She dreams about the story, about what hasn’t happened yet, and the main character seems to see her as she reads. Shy by nature, Cassi attempts to talk to him in her dreams but, on every attempt, she wakes up. Not knowing who she can trust with her bizarre secret, she confides in one of her elderly physical therapy patients who believes her and provides comical advice.
Detective Marco Marino is working an intricate and dangerous case in Florence, Italy. The Scutari mob has threatened another business in Florence. Trained in the United States, he uses his extensive knowledge of mob families to corner this ancient family. As he works the case a mysterious woman keeps appearing and disappearing like a phantom. At first, he’s unnerved by this constant distraction from his work, until he realizes she is trying to help him solve the case. If only she could speak! When he takes her into his arms for a fleeting kiss, he knows she’s real. This is a mystery he must solve.
