Set in 2005 - a CIA asset suffering from amnesia posing as a film star attempts to uncover his true identity amidst a conspiracy within the FBI and Blockbuster after he finds key evidence to a politically motivated crime.

SYNOPSIS:

Blockbuster is at the height of its popularity, and has more than 9,000 stores worldwide. The FBI secretly controls the company and these locations act as rendezvous points between various intelligence agencies across the globe. Following a failed assassination attempt on the President of Venezuela, the bureau decides to dismantle the program (The Blockbuster Initiative) one agent at a time.

Rising movie star, HENLEY is having nightmares about the assassination attempt and feels he was actually there; but his wife, LANA dismisses them as nothing more than bad dreams. Later, HENLEY receives a phone call from Blockbuster while driving to set; his latest rental is ready for pick up, and upon arriving he is approached by an undercover agent, GARZA posing as an employee. GARZA gives HENLEY a secretly coded DVD, telling HENLEY he's in grave danger, his dreams are actually memories, and that they are in a government black-ops program that is currently being dissolved. While on their way to dinner, his co-worker, LOGAN, who confesses to being an undercover operative, attacks HENLEY and he is forced to kill him. After LOGAN dies, Deputy Director of the CIA, CARL DUKES, activates two assassins to kill Henley: BRYTEN and the CHEMIST. Meanwhile, FBI Director DIANA WARD contacts DUKES about the failed assassination attempt against the Venezuelan President, FERNANDO MORA, and DUKES promises WARD he will deal with the Asset who failed.

LANA surprises HENLEY at a safe-house location and reveals she’s an undercover agent herself. She shows HENLEY how to officially access the disc on a specialized player. It’s a list of all active agents in the program, and a video of agent COSTA, who explains that she and HENLEY both used to work for DUKES, but switched sides after learning about wetwork committed by the CIA, and underwent memory wipes to protect themselves. BRYTEN ambushes them, but LANA shoots her, proving her loyalty to HENLEY. After they sleep together, LANA sneaks out in the middle of the night and meets DUKES at a diner, revealing her to be a double agent. As they meet, the CHEMIST kills MORA.

The next day, GARZA introduces HENLEY to JENSEN, a hacker in hiding, who reveals evidence that the assassination was part of a bigger conspiracy involving DUKES, WARD, and a powerful private equity firm with major political connections. LANA bursts in killing JENSEN and GARZA, telling HENLEY their marriage is a memory implant; she was really sent there to obtain the DVD and kill the rest of his former team.

As they leave, SONIA arrives to save HENLEY, and in their escape SONIA kills LANA. She tells HENLEY his Intel is the reason agents from the program are still alive, and that she’s really his wife. After killing the CHEMIST in an intense shootout, they travel to a Blockbuster located in Bend, Oregon where all offline back up records of the program are kept. Once there, HENLEY kills DUKES, hacks into the CIA mainframe, and deletes all files associated with the program. They blow up the facility and fly off in a helicopter.
