After Hurricane Maria devastates Puerto Rico, a newly single mom and a journeyman from the mainland set out to find her missing loved ones.

SYNOPSIS:

IVELISSE "IVY" CORDOBA is newly separated and far from her small son, RAFFIE when Hurricane Maria veers toward the hotel she manages in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Just as she locks up to ride out the storm with her staff, fish-out-of-water journeyman, MASON LANDOLT, slips inside. The storm hits and the two are forced to ride the terrifying storm out locked in a stair well.

When they finally emerge, the island is devastated. Ivy's first thoughts are with her son, who was last with her ex RAFAEL, headed to find her mother ROSE near the rain forest's edge. With all utilities down, she has no way of knowing whether or not her family made it back to their home. She plans to go it alone, but her car is destroyed. Mason's utility truck has survived, so he volunteers to take her. The two set out to face damaged, debris-strewn roads, flood waters and mud slides as they search for Ivy's lost loved ones somewhere in the heart of the island.

Their journey will uncover the strength and kindness of the Boriquín people who are determined to survive in the aftermath of disaster.
