In Milwaukee, a gay son guides his father in a midlife crisis through the sequined rollercoaster of coming out of the closet.

A father and son who look nothing alike, have opposite personalities, and never got along discover that each other is gay, They become an “Odd Couple” as roommates and grow closer together as the son helps the father come out. Through the bond of coming out, they set out to save The Fruit Fly, a campy gay bar and historic landmark, which is their safe zone-a place where LGBTQ can go for resources, advice, and help without judgment.
JACK LEE, a blond ken-doll-like father in the closet and a corporate lawyer, and LIAM, his half Asian son who looks nothing like him, have opposite personalities and never got along. After Liam is caught in an affair by his wife with her brother, Liam is kicked out. But Liam discovers his father is gay after he and his boyfriend walk in on Jack watching gay porn and pleasuring himself. They become an “Odd Couple” as roommates, and Liam takes Jack to The Fruit Fly, a campy gay bar and historic landmark, which is their safe zone-a place where LGBTQ can go for resources and help without judgment. After Liam discovers The Fruit Fly is in financial and legal trouble, he decides to save the Fruit Fly and get Jack to help. But as Jack explores gay life, Liam must save his dad from imploding from partying.
