Aquatic aliens entrust a marine biologist with an energy source which can halt global warming...or, destroy earth.

SYNOPSIS:

An alien craft is detected by military radar surveillance and is presumed to have crashed 40 miles off the California coast

Our marine biologist, Danny, is contracted by the military, given a cover story to conceal their desire to obtain any alien debris and dispatched to dive at the potential crash site location. Civilian divers are used to not arouse public concern

Danny and his crew sail to the site and Danny saves an alien being trapped in a discarded fishing net

The dives continue and Danny ends up being abducted by the aliens and taken on board their craft

The aliens implant Danny with a device which allows them to communicate with each other

The aliens tell Danny of their prior history with humans and their disregard for humans as being too aggressive and warlike. The aliens fear that humans will make the planet, including the oceans uninhabitable and action must be taken

The aliens also tell Danny of the power source they have developed which is dependent on obtaining certain deep sea minerals. It does not pollute nor generate any carbon emissions.

The aliens wish Danny no harm particularly since he saved one of them

Danny is allowed to leave but told not to speak of this to anyone

The military has now pinpointed the site of the alien craft and plans are put into motion to destroy it

A naval and air blockade is established around the craft’s location with the cover story of an undersea methane leak

Danny hears about the blockade on the news and realizing the location is centered on the alien craft, believes the govt it going to do something to it

Danny and his marine biologist intern, Maria sail to the site to try and warn the aliens

Danny dives and once again is taken on board the alien ship

Danny tells the aliens of his concerns and works to convince the aliens to provide him with information about their power source that humans could use, since it depends on aliens doing the deep sea mining, it would mean that the aliens and humans would need each other and their would be no need for conflict

The aliens provide Danny with a small sample of their power for him to take to the govt

Upon surfacing from his dive, Danny is surrounded by military vessels and taken into custody

Danny is interrogated by the military while scientists examine the power generator. Danny explains that he can communicate with the aliens via the implant.

The scientists realize the enormous potential of the new power source and the President is notified

The govt realizes that they need the aliens to obtain the deep sea minerals and must therefore win their trust

Danny is sent back to the site to try and reach the aliens to discuss a partnership with the humans

Once again, Danny is taken on board the craft and convinces the aliens that the humans can be trusted and will only use the power source for the betterment of the world

Danny conveys the aliens agreement to the govt and is treated as a hero

The President gives a speech to the United Nations about the new ‘American’ discovery that will revolutionize the world, reduce pollution, eliminate fossil fuels and halt global warming. The world reacts with gratitude, American prestige reaches a new high everywhere. Peaceful thoughts are issued everywhere

The final scene shows the President meeting the Chiefs of Staff and tells them he wants a weapon utilizing the new power within six months
