Two eccentric men agree to a sham marriage to avoid one’s deportation, but their ruse is disrupted by a shared interest in a mutual female friend. 

SYNOPSIS:

The European headquarters of the social media giant is the hippest workplace in the country. But IT nerd Cathal is stuck in the basement along with the other employees not fit for primetime. His only solace is that he gets to stare at Alice all day long.

Alice is a diamond in the rough, an adorable woman with no self-confidence or self-belief. Her therapist insists that she should get out more and meet people. Even though Cathal has an almighty crush on her, she is barely aware of his existence. Unlucky in love, what she also doesn't know is that all those guys she had been briefly dating were all chased away by Cathal.

At home in his crummy bedsit at night, instead of watching TV, Cathal watches recorded webcam footage of Alice at her desk. Whenever a suitor comes along, Cathal finds out what he can about the guy and does his utmost to sabotage the burgeoning relationship. So far, he has a one hundred percent success rate.

Chad is a recent transplant from the US. Handsome, confident and self-assured he works from a corner office on the top floor of the building. As soon as he sets eyes on Alice, he is registered on Cathal's radar. When Cathal strikes up a false friendship with Chad, he makes one bad decision after another. He soon discovers that chasing Chad away is not as easy as he's had it before. Not only is Chad not going away but Cathal finds himself getting more and more sucked into Chad's life. What he discovers about Chad is nothing compared to what is about to find out about himself.
