THE PIGEON REVOLUTION

THE PIGEON REVOLUTION
By Luciano Mello

GENRE: Comedy, Animation
LOGLINE:

In the skies of Copacabana, Thomaz a dreamer, and Rosa a realist, join forces with a spirited community of pigeons to challenge predators and prove that even the smallest birds can change the world.

SYNOPSIS:

In the skies and streets of Copacabana, a fearless group of pigeons faces challenges that transcend the clouds. Alongside the warm and realistic Rosa, who finds her strength in her vulnerabilities, the idealistic Thomaz, whose dreams are as large as his insecurities, Clemente, a White-Winged Pigeon as big as he is friendly, and the mysterious and methodical Roscharque. This unlikely team demonstrates that true strength lies in unity. Thomaz is a skilled flyer who dreams of soaring high in the sky like frigates. In love with Rosa, who masters flight with the same skill, she longs to pair up with him, but Thomaz shies away for fear that commitment may hinder his individual dreams. Rosa, on the other hand, does not share the same dream as him and knows the problems that afflict the pigeons. She is always ready to help those in need, seeking to ensure that everyone has food and protection. She discovers that her challenge is even greater and ends up in the epicenter of a battle between ruthless predators and the incredible support network formed by Rosa, Clemente, and Roscharque. They end up leading an unlikely airborne revolution, challenging ruthless opponents, such as the rowdy seagulls, Felix, a psychopathic pelican, and the worst of all, Gringo, the peregrine falcon who swore to kill Thomaz. During their adventures, the pigeons understand that only through the unity of their community can they face and overcome not only their personal challenges but also the oppressions that afflict all pigeons. In this way, they prove that even the smallest birds have the power to change the world.

Sounds like a wonder-filled project. Wishing all best success with it.

I really like your logline, Luciano Mello. I only have two small suggestions. Use "an idealistic dreamer and a pragmatic realist join forces" instead of using character names and remove the quotation mark at the end of the logline.

Luciano Mello

Thanks for the comment and suggestions Maurice Vaughan.

You're welcome, Luciano Mello. I just noticed something. "idealistic" and "dreamer" are similar, and "pragmatic" and "realist" are similar, so I think you could just put "a dreamer and a realist join forces." That way you can remove the commas after "dreamer" and "realist," and the logline will be shorter.

I love the idea of subverting the status quo of any storytelling, Luciano Mello. I think The Pigeon Revolution asks interesting philosophical questions. Go for it!

Interesting message. I like the philosophical aspect behind the story. This could easily be a children's story if told well.
