SYNOPSIS:

When he was only seven years old, John Bailor watched as a devastating Civil War between Earth and the militant organization NWO killed his parents. Twenty one years later John has become an incredibly gifted but reckless fighter pilot. As the war goes on, Archangel is chosen to join an elite air wing commanded by Colonel Robert Thayer, a former subordinate of his father. Archangel is at first resistant to the idea but realizes it may be his only chance to avenge the death of his parents after meeting Valkyrie, a fellow fighter pilot who also lost her family to New World Order attacks.

The new pilots begin training exercises, Archangel’s tactics prove to be unconventional but far more effective than the others. Valkyrie recognizes that his flying is similar to the legendary fighter pilot Odin, who she believes was Archangel’s father.

The air wing’s first mission is to attack a NWO communication outpost. Archangel leads the group into battle and easily overwhelms the enemy pilots, impressing Thayer.

Archangel, Dominion and Guardian fly a reconnaissance mission near Logos but the colonies launch several fighter crafts that quickly overwhelm the three pilots. Archangel calls for help but Thayer orders them to retreat instead. Guardian and Dominion are able to flee but Archangel stays behind fighting and gravely injures his shoulder when his jet is damaged. Unable to leave him behind, Guardian goes back but is killed just before Archangel escapes.

After intercepting an NWO shuttle, the crew discovers it was transporting a nuclear bomb from Gaia, the largest colony ever built. They observe the Colony from a distance, Thayer decides it is too dangerous to attack devastating Archangel. Dominion then reminds him that he can call for a volunteer patrol and offers to fly with Archangel. Valkyrie decides to go too, to make sure they don’t do anything too reckless.

The two captured pilots are brought before Fenrir and Sarah Rhynesfeld, the Colony’s political leader. Recognizing who Archangel is, Fenrir reveals that he had once been a Unified Nation pilot who served with Thayer under Mike Bailor. Thayer contacts Gaia to demand that Fenrir release Archangel and Valkyrie, Legion then assassinates Thayer and Killshot and injures Warlock. Archangel attempts to attack Fenrir but is overwhelmed by his guards. He and Valkyrie are taken to the brig. Fenrir then reveals his true plan is to destroy two colonies which will drop them into Earth’s atmosphere making the planet uninhabitable, horrifying Rhynesfeld.

Valkyrie and Warlock launch the bomb damaging Gaia beyond repair. Two air wing carriers then move in to destroy Gaia’s remains as Archangel and Legion continue their battle. Archangel crashes his ship into Legion but eject just before both jets are destroyed.
