The pilot episode introduces the key players; 'lieutenants' Keiran and Kestry, their leader, North, and his ongoing grudge against the Federated Union; specifically those he feels betrayed him 7 years ago. Initial hints begin to drop as to everyone's individual motives / secrets... culminating in this episode's specific reveal - the dual-universe premise.
