When a struggling travel writer's latest assignment goes awry, he finds himself trapped in a bizarre and sinister timeshare presentation in a rundown Mexican resort town, where he must navigate a cast of eccentric characters and his own personal demons to escape with his sanity intact.

SYNOPSIS:

We meet our protagonist, JASON, a down-on-his-luck travel writer in his mid-30s, who has just been assigned to review the infamous "El Cielo" resort in the sleepy Mexican town of Puerto Escondido. Jason is a cynic who has lost his passion for travel writing, and this assignment is his last chance to prove himself to his editor.

Upon arrival, Jason is greeted by the resort's eccentric owner, RODRIGO, who seems more interested in selling him a timeshare than providing a relaxing vacation experience. As Jason tries to politely decline, he finds himself trapped in a never-ending presentation, forced to listen to Rodrigo's outlandish sales pitches and endure the resort's bizarre amenities, including a haunted mini-golf course and a "healing" mud bath that seems to have a life of its own.
