It's decent. I feel like it could be condensed a little bit to make it more clear without losing any of the meaning. Maybe something like this?
A young and ambitious gang leader, disillusioned with playing by society’s rules, struggles to get out of the lawless hood life of Compton, CA. He juggles his criminal lifestyle and his no-holds-barred pursuit of freedom, all while under the crosshairs of the LAPD.
