Early 1900s artists John Bauer’s and Ester Ellqvist’s drama, struggling to

master a relationship with different social needs and way of living.

John’s international succees depicting the gnomes, trolls and fairies in

impressive images. His life’s dream to create a work for opera when

Ester had abandoned him and then a sudden meeting giving them a

possibility to reunite and building a family. When they finally find a

solution to live together in a way that may suit them both they meet

their destiny in a spectacular ship wreck.
