A nurse stationed at a secure American black site military hospital is duped into helping an ex KGB scientist escape to Siberia, where documents she unknowingly helps him recover put her in the cross hairs of enemies and allies alike.
SYNOPSIS:
No Clear Winter follows MEGAN, a conspiracy theory obsessed nurse who works at a Top Secret blacksite American military hospital. After her brother is reported dead in a plane crash on the way to Langley, Megan is reassigned from the main floor of the hospital to a guarded deep underground private wing for a new assignment. Keeping a Cold War era captured KGB scientist (ALDRICH) sedated.
While doing research on Aldrich, Megan discovers that he was a spy for Russia who was caught by the CIA for stealing sensitive and damning information. Aldrich was supposedly executed 10 years prior in Russia, but the stolen information was never recovered.
Over the course of a few weeks, Megan begins opening up to Aldrich and asks if the stories about him stealing information from Area 51 are true. He uses this to his advantage and eventually talks her into a trade. If Megan can help him return to Siberia, Aldrich will give her concrete truth on her biggest conspiracy, the existence of Aliens.
After a daring escape, Megan and Aldrich begin their trek to Siberia. Playing off of her technical skills and using his talents as a KGB operative, they set off across the USA with not only the CIA after them, but Russian secret agents as well. As both sides want Aldrich for their own reasons, this spurs a deadly rivalry between the Americans and Russians, Creating breathing room for Megan and Aldrich on their journey to Siberia.
After arriving at a cabin in Siberia, Aldrich and Megan search for and find the buried documents, but they aren't what Megan was promised. Instead they are a series of files of a massive American coverup. A secret that even after all these years can bring America to its knees. Aldrich renders Megan unconscious and leaves alone.
Megan awakes to her presumably dead brother (ERIC) and a KGB double agent (ANNA) who have tracked a stolen GPS beacon to the cabin. They fill Megan in on the plight of her current situation. They explain the stipulations to exonerate her of Treason, and how Aldrich is a lone wolf who has no intentions on taking the information to the Kremlin, but to an unknown source. Together they must find Aldrich and recover the documents before he can deliver them to this mysterious entity.
