L.A. VAMPS
By Alexander Drake

GENRE: Horror, Comedy
LOGLINE:

Struggling to find work in Hollywood and avoid death by sunlight, the vampire prince Virgil Klieg - who has a thirst for blood and dreams of stardom - becomes a terror on and off the screen as he competes with his sister for stardom.

SYNOPSIS:

L.A. Vamps is a horror comedy about life as a vampire trying to “make it” in Hollywood.

The series centers around the epic struggle between a brother and sister both vying for fame and individual autonomy through sibling rivalry.

Virgil and Heide Klieg are ancient vampires from a long-ruling Germanic clan.

They eventually became enamored with fame and modern social media adoration.

They love it and liken it to the kind of adoration they used to enjoy in the old days ruling by fear.

Virgil abandons his role as heir to the family and moves to Hollywood.

Heidi runs wild after decades confined to a dungeon for converting herself to vampirism before she was of proper age.

The episodic stories will poke fun at Hollywood.

The casting process of entertainment, nightlife, mansion parties, and even sugar mamma cougars, are ripe content for short comedic horror webisodes.

As more people are eaten by Virgil and Heide, and as more vampires show up, the union representatives, who play our vampire hunters, team up with the paparazzi to hunt down and root out the evil night dwellers.

The serial story for the show revolves around the vendetta between Virgil and Heide’s Father, Adler Klieg.

Adler has a deep feud with Heide’s long love interest, the ancient Templar Knight, Marcus Albinus.

Marcus "converted" Heide into a vampire at too young of an age…

…uh oh…

There’s room in the show’s mythology for settings across the globe and through vampire history, but the series is set in modern-day Los Angeles.
