A broken teenager with severe family issues must choose between surrender to her reality and allow her little brother to suffer the same horrors and abuses from their father, or surrender to a Powerful Goddess with dubious intentions that offers to “set her free,” but at what cost?
Tamara “Tam” Sells, a teenager living in a small town with her broken family, abuse by her own father, Robert Lynn “Rob” Sells, a perverted and despicable man who enjoy making others suffer, neglected by her mother Martha Sells, who is addicted to pills as a direct result of her abusive relationship, she just stop caring about anything but having enough pills. The only family she ever loved, Tamara’s youngest brother Robert “Bobby” Sells, he is a sweet introvert young kid who is always afraid and only feels safe when he is around her big sis Tammy,
Martha inherited from a long-lost uncle (Dr. Gerald Goodwill, an old hermitage who barely left the house to visit his only friend and lawyer Samuel “Sam” McKee) a big house in a small and reclude town call Katy, TX, as the lawyer is going over the will with Martha and Robert. Tam and Bobby play outside when Tam feels a presence that overwhelms her, she had a vision, and in that vision she meet Tiamat, an immortal being responsible for the chaos and destruction of many civilizations since the beginning of time. However, Tiamat presented to Tam as a loving mother figure that has powers but she needs help to escape her prison in the house, the Goddess is persuasive.
Tamara wants to reach 18 years old so she can escape and take Bobby with her to NY to be a movie star, however, she knows it’s not as easy as she tells Bobby to calm him. As her father start to lose interest in her, he begins making reference on how Bobby is; next, Tam won’t let that happen and Tiamat the deceiver knows it. Tiamat offers to help her protect Bobby if she breaks into the house’s study room grab an ancient coin that holds her spirit and set her free to live within Tamara. Tamara out of desperation and love for Bobby accepts and set her free gaining a dual personality in the process.
Everything is going according to plan, but Tamara feels an uncontrollable desire to kill, first just bad and abusive people like her father, later pretty much anyone she desires. Little by Little Tiamat is taking full control over Tam, as Tam allows Tiamat to take control because Tam likes it. Tiamat knows that for her to completely take over and unleash her full powers she has to make Tam give what she loves voluntary, to have Tam kill Bobby is the only way to achieve the total transformation.
At the high point of the 3rd act, Tamara decides to self-sacrifice to put Tiamat back in the coin and save Bobby. In the end, Bobby leaves town with Markduk “Mark” the counterpart and jailer for Tiamat who got there just in time to help Tam take the right decision. Mark gives the coin to Bobby as he did many years ago to his late great granduncle Gerald Goodwill, Bobby decides to take on Gerald’s full name to start all over in a new place (NY) with the help and guide of Mark. The end!
Other important characters are the church Father, a detective investigating the deaths and different supporting roles that serve the development of the story.
