A pragmatic, cynical ex-cop in a happy relationship is reinstated to hunt down the nation's most wanted man in a dystopian post-Brexit Britain.
SYNOPSIS:
In the year 2016, the United Kingdom votes to leave the European Union, resulting in a civil war which tears the country apart known as the First British Revolution. A decade later in 2026, the country has now reformed into the British Democratic Republic, and Ireland is reunited. Former police detective Mikhail Rozhenko is called out of early retirement to bring recidivistic vigilante and hero of the revolution Enrico Robutti to justice, much to the dismay of his stay-at-home girlfriend Karin Daimler.
Eventually betrayed and executed, Enrico is revived as a nanotech-enhanced cyborg by the resistance and tasked with bringing down the Order of the 3 Lions, the ruling party of the BDR, aided by his ninja girlfriend Taki Onodera along with support from his protégé in the form of disgruntled high school senior Winston Smith. As relationships are put to the test and new betrayals come to light, Enrico and Mikhail soon find their codes of honour being pushed to the limit, forcing them to decide where their loyalties lie as each step of the investigation brings both men closer to their final confrontation…

This is a great Logline... up until the clunky end portion.

Clunky? How?

It's laid out so well and reads so smoothly up until the "and a grim, tense struggle unfolds" portion at the end. When reading it aloud, it sounds like a postscript crammed-in as if saying "oh and by the way, this happens". - It's the word AND that pumps the brakes hard, then the two coordinate adjectives that makes it stutter.

You want to keep it clear and short. You don't need the girlfriend (only if she could add something special to the logline) and the reporter. Hey, there's always a reporter. Sure, use him/her in the screenplay, just not in the logline. A try -- JUST a try:
"After a lost Brexit war, a Scottish Robin Hood must carefully choose his friends to take down UK’s Conservative party or face darkness under English rule.
Hi, Stefano Pavone. How about this for a logline: "In a post-Brexit Britain, an honourable vigilante takes on the autocratic Government with help from a crew of fellow outcasts while eluding the trail of a tough, by-the-book cop."

OK, Maurice. I'll give it a try. :) Thank you. :)
You're welcome, Stefano. After reading the synopsis, I think a better logline would be: "In a post-Brexit Britain, an honourable vigilante tries to take down the autocratic Government with help from a crew of fellow outcasts while eluding a tough, by-the-book cop who's on his trail."

I would think you would have to change the government party names due to ease of production as a lot of people like Conservative or Labour. It would also help not to alienate segments of a potential market. A smaller market means less opportunity for money. Also, I would recommend working into the logline of what a 'post-Bretix Britan' looks like. Is it rich or poor? Happy or sad? Power? Right now the phrase left alone is open to interpretation and will be something different to everyone who reads it depending on how they view the political subject. Also, why is there a stormtrooper icon in the poster? If it is a pop-culture reference then it seems misplaced, if not, then I would suggest replacing it with your own design for an army trooper helmet as it is too well know and distracting.

Your logline should have an incident and a solution - I have no idea what your story is which might be the reason you keep getting rejections as you must have a solid logline is the first step!!! Best of luck
