THE LAST CONTRACT
By Dario Cannizzaro

GENRE: Comedy, Drama
LOGLINE:

A hitman with artistic tendencies realises he hates his job and his life during his last contract.

SYNOPSIS:

After having accepted a strange contract - he's been requested to kill an old man who's already dying in the hospital - the Hitman starts to perform his usual homework to land a perfect killing.

Since the contract is apparently very easy, he lets himself go to showcase a more human side - we discover that he wanted to be a violin player, and is sensible to the beauty around him; however, this self-opening leaves space for sloppiness...

When the time to close the contract comes, he realises that he didn't consider all the possible variables, and is now in the hospital room of the dying man (now in a coma), but face to face with the victim's niece, a beautiful girl.

Seeing him with a violin case, she asks to perform for her dying Grandpa.

Contrary to the stereotype, the case contains a violin indeed, and not a gun as expected. But once Hitman starts to perform, only a screeching sound comes out - terrible enough not only to wake the target from his coma, but also to kill him on the spot.

With the contract fulfilled in an unusual way, the Hitman realises that the only thing he's good at is killing, and that he'll never leave his high-paying job to pursue his dream of being a violin player.

With that epiphany looming over him, he decides to end one last life - his own.
