PRESTON MCCORMICK has a trendy restaurant, a cooking show on cable and a reputation as the next great rock-star chef. After a young woman dies from almost surgical knife wounds, Detective WILLIAM WALLACE wants to get close to the man who last saw her alive. The cat and mouse relationship they develop during after-hours food, wine and conversation makes them both more and more curious about just what makes the other tick. Wallace suspects Preston is a killer but when he finds out why, he comes face to face with a type of murderer he’s never encountered.
