A young artist named Ivan, discovers that the people he paints die mysteriously within 48 hours of the paint drying.

SYNOPSIS:

The Dark Artist follows a talented young pre-teen named Ivan that lives a normal life until he learns that his exceptional gift can kill. Ivan's grandfather, Eduardo is a descendant of El Doom Regalo Fatalidad, a curse originating from Guadalajara, Mexico. The fatal gift derives from the practice of a dark ritual called “Nino Oscuro Muerte”. The ritual, which dates back to the 1800s cursed 500 residents. There are four different variations of the curse: Fatalidad Pintura (painting and drawing), Fatalidad Toque’(touching), Fatalidad Lengua (speaking) and Fatalidad Escribe’ (writing). Ivan’s gift is Fatalidad Pintura and is now much stronger and diverse than his grandfather’s. Ivan will eventually learn that he cannot only cause death but bring back the deceased for a short period of time. He is also able to draw nature-related living organisms that temporarily appear.

Before Eduardo fully explains El Doom Regalo Fatalidad and what transpired in the 1800s, he dies. When Ivan decides to paint his grandfather, Eduardo is temporarily brought back to life and discusses his tragic event in Guadalajara, where this curse came from, and who else might be able to help him
