A fate finds her own destiny after she falls in love with a mortal.

SYNOPSIS:

Aisa is a Norn, a Fate. Specifically, she is a Death Bringer. As the job title implies, she brings death. For thousands of years, Fates have been working behind the scenes in our world, working tirelessly to keep the balance of happiness and sadness, and life and death in perfect harmony. If at any point they lose equilibrium, it could cause an Event Horizon (mass extinction). This balance is protected by the Hjul (wheel of time). It governs all human life on Earth and sends out cases as needed to each Norn.

Aisa has always had a crystal-clear understanding of her purpose. She ends life. She keeps the world in check. However, after reviewing a "Termination" case where she ended the lives of 15 individuals in a spectacular car accident, she realized that one of the onlookers, seems to have seen her! It is supposed to be impossible for mortals to see the Norn. At first, she brushes it off as her mind playing tricks on her, but upon visiting the said mortal (David Martin), she gets the reality check of her entire existence. David can not only see her, but he can hear her, and even touch her.

Needless to say, the situation leaves both she and David in shock. Why is this happening? How did it happen in the first place? These are the questions they both want to find answers for. As the two work together to figure out their connection to each other, a budding romance begins to blossom. Aisa realizes that even though she has existed for thousands of years of years, she has never truly lived.

For the first time in her life, Aisa is truly happy. In David she has found someone to relate to. However, love isn't without its complications, as it was Aisa who ended both of the lives of David's parents when he was only 10 years old. This is a revelation she's not ready to divulge. Making matters worse, when she finally returns to work, she receives an emergency termination case. The Hjul has sent her to end David's life. This is baffling, as his case file showed that he was going to live a long relatively happy life. Now suddenly, it has changed. Did the Hjul change it or somebody else?

Now Aisa has to make a choice, the possible fate of the world or the mortal she is in love with.
