When an Egyptian tailor, and his young daughter are forced to flee persecution at home,  he unknowingly rents a space behind a gay nightclub in Los Angeles where he must overcome the prejudice of the Jewish owner, the xenophobia of a conservative neighbor, and face his own notions about the drag queens who befriend his daughter.
