Young Curtis leaves home with his guitar on his back. Looking for work, he stumbles into Kitty Hawk and participates in the first aeroplane ride. While walking through Washington D.C., he hears cries for help coming from the White House bathroom. When all is said and done, Curtis frees President William Howard Taft from a bathtub prison. Curtis teaches a young boy the art of pitching a baseball. Noticing the boy is a better hitter than pitcher, Curtis convinces the young man to switch to hitting. George becomes the best home run hitter in baseball history.
And then there was the meeting at the crossroads. All souls were spared. Wandering through the hills of North Carolina, Curtis is introduced to the Johnson’s, a whiskey running family who liked to drive fast. After teaching young Junior the art of drafting, he goes on to a legendary stock car racing career. Later, while in Tennessee and with the help of a young orphan, Curtis brings down one of the biggest child trafficking operations in U.S. History.
In his later years, he sits in front of a country store, drinking wine and telling these stories to a young boy named Ronnie which brings Curtis joy. A surprise find of old reel to reel tapes after Curtis’ death prompts Ronnie to make the tapes of Curtis’ music known. This music inspired the biggest musicians we know today.
