When dark, satanic forces arrive in New York, a Russian psychic must partner with a beguiling young man to foresee the future and conquer the evils that lay ahead.

SYNOPSIS:

CHASING THE DARK is a one-hour, serial drama about a woman on the run from dark forces she fears will destroy her. She is thrown off course by a man she meets who could be her soulmate. The series will explore themes of redemption, challenging fate and the price of passion.

PILOT SYNOPSIS: Natalya has to get out of town. She was born with psychic powers that have been more of a curse than a ‘gift,’ showing her dark, upsetting visions of the future. Now living in New York, she senses the arrival of an evil demi-god, Santos. He wants to draw psychics to him to harness their power and terrorize the city. Well, Natalya wants no part of that! On her way out the door she meets Danny McNab, a guy looking for a tarot card reading (her side hustle). Natalya senses he’s the man she’s fated to be with. However, she sees in one of her psychic ‘flashes’ that Danny might actually end up harming her. So, after a passionate night together, she runs.

Unwilling to let Natalya go, Danny tosses his boring life aside and takes off after her. As it turns out, Danny isn't the only one in hot pursuit of Natalya. While she was working at an investment firm to predict the market (a very real practice) Natalya 'reads' more than she was supposed to, uncovering all kinds of corruption. Two goons, hired by the firm's president, are also following her to make sure she doesn't go to the cops. Danny and the thugs, plus some psychics she meets on the road, are all hell bent to bring Natalya back to New York, the last place she wants to be.

The ‘chase’ mixes horror, romance and humor as it explores the world of psychic phenomenon and black magic. In the end, Natalya destroys Santos by embracing the power she’s always had and accepting her fate to become a hero.

SERIES OVERVIEW: Each season will follow Natalya and Danny down a different dark corridor of the mystical world (telepathy, ghosts, UFOs etc.) In CHASING THE DARK, all things are possible. And they’re a lot scarier than we suspected.
