A drunk driver runs a light, broadsiding a father, son, and daughter.  The father dies.  Two years later, a graphic video of the accident surfaces on the internet shattering an already fragile family.

SYNOPSIS:

Dori & 17th falls along the lines of 'Ordinary Family' and 'Men, Women and Children.' Mother Maansa Trenor and her children Pankaja (Pan) and Chris struggle two years after the father Kevan was killed in a car accident that Pan and Chris survived. A family on edge: Maansa's a pill-popping workaholic news anchor; Chris, also on pills (usually Maansa's), frequents his father's memorial at Dori & 17th; and, Pan seems the straight family outsider, attending university, striving to lead an everyday life. A video surfaces on the Internet of the father's accident, sending the Mother and Son over the edge and into hospital to recover from overdoses. Pan struggles to keep them alive and the family together. But it isn't finished there; the video hides a secret that only Maansa can answer but doesn't want to admit.
