Alan is a private investigator with no filter or sense of humor. While he dreams of the exciting and glamourous world of James Bond he actually works for a company that focuses on workplace complaints.  Alan navigates his way through a series of unusual situations all the time interacting with his eccentric boss, co-workers and Frank his office nemesis.

SYNOPSIS:

The investigators is a comedy set in a private investigation agency specialising in workplace investigations, surveillance and other seemingly mundane matters.

The main character is Alan who dreams of the exciting and glamourous world of James Bond. He always who always wanted to be a cop but failed the exam. He is very serious with a complete lack of filter.

Each episode is centred around the KISS (Kelly Investigations & Security Services) office and the relationships between Alan and the other staff as we see the investigators working on their cases.

Alan's boss is Kyan Summertyme (he changed his name from Ryan Winters when he became enlightened). Kyan is a hippy who spends most of his time in the office doing Tai Chi, yoga and burning what may or may not be incense.

Alan's nemesis is Frank Burrell, an old school detective. Frank always has a comment to put Alan in his place.

Other characters include;

Jeremy the junior investigator who suffers from nervous onset narcolepsy

Denise the long suffering office manager

Juliana the social media obsessed self appointed influencer and receptionist

Jane an investigator with a mysterious past

Paul a senior investigator who seems to be the only normal person in the office

Bob the highly stressed accountant who has been appointed as a new investigator

Doris Kelly, Kyan's mum, she bought the company for Ryan (she still calls him Ryan) and his Brother Bryan.

In the pilot episode Alan is investigating a manger who gave his staff member a Viagra tablet as a joke while helping Kyan recruit new investigators. Jane takes Jeremy on a surveillance assignment until his narcolepsy gets in the way and Kyan is chased through an airport by a large drug sniffing dog after forgetting he had some pot in the pocket of his best hessian pants. All in all a typical day at KISS.
