To catch a philandering husband, Kong sets up a sting – a 1920s bootleg speakeasy - with the help of Ms. Kate Chin who works in the movies. However, Kate brings to his attention, a priceless keris that has gone missing from the props department and a cryptic message scribbled in lipstick on a mirror.
SYNOPSIS:
Derek Kong, a private detective from Kuala Lumpur and a master of disguise, reluctantly tackles yet another matrimonial case for the sake of Suraya, his beautiful, young assistant, to learn about relationships.
Kong utilises his undercover characters and sets up a sting by turning his friend’s bar into a speakeasy. He gets Suraya to be the honey bee who delivers the sting by becoming a flawed femme fatale. Ms Kate Chin who works in the movies also helps but Kate discovers a priceless keris (a traditional Malay dagger) has been stolen from the production house and there’s a cryptic message written in lipstick on the mirror.
Can Derek Kong solve both cases at the same time?
Ultimately, this story is about love, fantasy and illusion (and some food porn).
