If he doesn’t get the Sugar Plum Fairy to reverse his selfish wish, a miserable taxidermist could ruin Christmas forever.
SYNOPSIS:
CHRIS CUDAHY was born on Christmas Day. Every year, he’s forced to share his special day with Christmas. He’s never had a party, his birthday gifts are just rewrapped Christmas gifts, and he’s never had a day that celebrates him. It’s made him resentful and bitter. He would love it if everyone had a lousy Christmas too. One Christmas Eve, he meets a strange girl who calls herself Sugar Plum, as in Fairy. Sugar Plum claims to have magical powers. She tells Chris that animals can speak at midnight on Christmas Eve and wishes come true. As they stand in front of the manger scene on the lawn of Chris’ church, she offers to grant Chris a wish exactly at midnight on. Not believing her, Chris makes a wish that it be Christmas Day EVERYDAY, over and over , so everyone would come to hate Christmas like he does. He doesn’t know it, but his wish is granted.
Chris goes to his family’s house to celebrate Christmas Day and everything seems normal. When he comes home, he finds Sugar Plum and three live animals from the manger scene in his apartment. It seems they got caught up in his wish and now Chris has to take care of a talking camel, a sheep and a donkey. Sugar wants to know if he is happy with his wish. He doesn’t’ believe that is Christmas again, until his sister calls him at midnight, telling him he has to go find presents for her kids, so they won’t wake up without presents on Christmas morning. Chris realizes his wish has come true and he’s ecstatic. Now people will hate Christmas, just like him. Every morning the calendar flips back to December 25th. Nothing is open, because everything is running on holiday time. Families run out of food, money and TOYS for their kids. This goes on for days and everyone is sick of Christmas. When Chris’ favorite niece tells him she hates Christmas, Chris realizes that he has done a terrible thing and he has to change things back. Chris demands that Sugar to cancel his wish. Sugar doesn’t tell Chris, but since she has fallen in love with him, she’s lost her magic powers and they must go to the North Pole and ask Mrs. Claus, the brains behind the operation, how to do it. Mrs. Claus they both have to cancel the wish at the exact same. Sugar doesn’t want to cancel the wish. She was due to marry the Nutcracker Prince, and wants to stay with him. She runs away and Chris and the animals have to try to find her.
The Nutcracker Prince shows up at Chris’ apartment and insists they find her together. Then Sugar can make her choice of which man she really loves. Chris and the animals ditch the Prince and scour the places in Manhattan where Sugar might be hiding. They find her, but they only have a short time to cancel the wish. A giant crowd is waiting to force Chris to change things back. Sugar begs him to come to the North Pole with her, but Chris says no and the wish is cancelled. Everyone forgets about his wish except Chris. And he realized that he made a mistake- he does love Sugar. He breaks down and wishes that he could find Sugar and tell her he loves her. His new unselfish wish comes true, the animals also get back the gift of life and they all race to the North Pole in time to stop the wedding. Chris and Sugar marry and buy Santa’s Christmas Village amusement park, where they can celebrate Christmas, and his birthday, every single day.
I think this will be emotionally satisfying because even though Chris will never have a birthday

The ONLY thing that's missing here is the inciting incident (which, I'm sure, would bring that much more clarity to whatever the "selfish wish" is). We could also stand to specify how Christmas might be "ruined forever". But, beyond that: man, this is a super fun start :)
