Hi Anika. I'm RB, Founder and CEO of Stage 32. As a screenwriter, producer, actor and filmmaker, I know first-hand the challenges all creatives face finding work, landing representation, launching projects, securing funding and simply making the connections that will make a difference in their careers. That's why I created Stage 32. Since our launch in September of 2011, the community has grown to 1,000,000+ members representing every country on the planet making Stage 32 the social network uniquely populated with the most creative people on Earth.
This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members to pay it forward by inviting 5 fellow creatives to the network and by spreading the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities.
Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. I very much look forward to your contributions.
Thanks, and have a creative day!
RB

But writing a TV show is a different beast altogether, and so I too like the deadlines and encouragement of a group like this. Writing style is a mesh of spending almost 4 years in Second City and working on Elmore Leonard's film festival years ago, right when he started Justified.

I think it'd be a cool idea if we started a writers group with the people in this class. I'm in two writers groups currently, but new perspectives from different writers can't hurt. If anyone is interested, please let me know. I'd be happy to start an email chain or something similar.
Also, if anyone is interested, the book, "The Hero Succeeds" by Kam Miller is really great for writing TV pilots, and teaches the structures of each acts in a pilot similar to what Spencer has been teaching us about. Hopefully this helps some of you too!
Happy writing!

I have 3 completed features, (2 thrillers, 1 Rom-Com), one that's in option negotiations at the moment, and a 4th nearing completion. This is my first TV pilot, and it's based on a novel I've completed but have not published... not sure what I want to do with it yet.
Anyway, I'm enjoying the class and looking forward to getting to know you all!
