A young woman in 1960s Northern Ireland seeks to destroy the IRA before it grows too large and too violent to stop.
SYNOPSIS:
Set in the late 1960s outside of Belfast, Maisie McCluskey is a beautiful Irish girl with her optimistic life ahead of her. She knows of Northern Ireland’s complicated history only through the tales of her parents, who seem nervous about the growing tension throughout their country. Despite their apprehension, Maisie is a carefree, joyous young woman.
On a typical day out in the town, Maisie’s parents become victims of the IRA’s first bombing in decades. It leaves the city on edge and in mourning for the loss of innocent civilians during an attack on a British government building. Maisie is absolutely devastated.
While grieving for her loss, she is approached by two mysterious men. They offer her an opportunity to bring justice for her parent’s killings. She doesn’t fully understand the offer they are making but accepts it anyway.
After being broken and nearly brainwashed by the British government, she finds herself seducing and knocking off high-ranking members of the IRA one by one. By 1969, she has made her way through much of the up-and-coming leadership.
The IRA is on high alert and desperately searching for her, making her job far more dangerous and difficult. It is then that an old friend, Sean Mac Stoifain, comes knocking at her door. Little does she know that he is poised to become the head of the IRA within the year and will wreak havoc throughout the country.
