Lifelong enemies, aging, one retired from the police force, the other an ex-con. Both veterans, one does community service driving the DAV van, the other is taking chemo at the VA.
SYNOPSIS:
Thaddeaus Brixton is a retired cop giving back to the community by driving a Disabled American Veterans (DAV) van. That is until he encounters Richard Mason, a known drug dealer released from prison and diagnosed with prostate cancer taking treatment at the VA hospital.
Thad and Richard are opposites in every conceivable way. Thad has arrested Richard a number of times, finally putting him in prison for fifteen years, of which Richard did eight and where he got religion. Thad is an atheist, having lost faith in humanity and struggling to regain it through his volunteer work.
Richard lives in a run-down apartment building where the temptations are palpable. Thad has a nice home in the suburbs with grandchildren. The relationship that grows out of necessity is contentious, full of setbacks and suspicion.
What they come to discover, however reluctantly, is that neither one of them is as good or as bad as each other thinks.
