An amnesiac woman survives in a post-apocalyptic world while being haunted by ghosts that seem to hold some mystery about her past.

SYNOPSIS:

Somewhere on the East Coast. It’s been two years since a war ravaged the planet. KAREN, 60, a survivor who suffers from a strange amnesia that only allows her to remember a few parts of her life, lives alone in a mansion by the sea. Every midnight, a ghostly LITTLE GIRL, 8, with a disfigured face shows up and Karen takes strong sleeping pills to get away from her by losing consciousness.

Karen spends her daylight hours painting a seascape and watching Super8 home movies featuring her late husband, Henry, and a five-year-old girl, her presumed daughter, whose name she doesn't even remember.

Unable to stand it any longer, Karen plans to commit suicide by overdosing on barbiturates, but her attempt of killing herself is interrupted by GINA, 30, another survivor, who befriends her and advises her to try to communicate with the ghostly little girl. Karen follows her recommendation, but a new, terrifying apparition – a convulsing, white-eyed old woman foaming at the mouth – forces her to turn to drugs again.

From here on, Karen will witness a series of disturbing apparitions that will test her sanity as she relives her past through horrifying nightmares. With Gina's help, she will recall her previous life until reaching a final discovery as surprising as it is cathartic.
