Vengeance yields no satisfaction but ruins a stubborn Pastor's moral after being betrayed by his wife.
SYNOPSIS:
Reuben become suspicious as his wife continues to come home late after working hours. He installs spy devices in Barry’s home and office. His suspicions are confirmed after watching a video of his wife and Barry intimate in the office. He also finds out that Barry's wife is having an affair with Barry's banker, Donovan, who fathered two children believed to be Barry's. Reuben plans a revenge, assisted by his friend Saul.
They abduct Barry, force him to go to the Bank and take out the R10m in his safe, force Donovan to steal R2m from Barry’s account – blackmailing him to become an accomplice in their planned crime. They force Barry and Donovan to dig a hole in Barry's lounge and hide the money before abducting them to a secluded Homestead, and letting Barry watch Donovan intimate with his wife.
Reuben lose control when Saul betrays him, and tries to run away with Barry. He forces Barry to give up his company shares to his employees, and use a video with Barry bribing a government official for a multi-million tender as assurance that he doesn’t report him to the police. Barry tries to shoot Reuben but miss and shoots himself to death. Both Reuben and Saul leave town.
Watching Barry’s funeral from his hotel room, Reuben feels defeated when people praise Barry for his generosity by giving his employees shares to his companies, and downplaying his corrupt activities. He still loves his wife, but is unable to forgive her, and feels that the whole revenge act changed him – unable to identify himself.
Both Reuben and Saul return for the money hidden in Barry’s house. A new couple who bought the house, after Barry’s wife, Penny, emigrated found the money and they were caught up in the violence before they could leave the country as planned. Reuben attacks Saul, takes the money and leave to start a new life out of the country.
