A flirtatious young successful insurance company manager is living the life when a new client reminds him of dark exploits he did in college and forces him to choose life over career.

SYNOPSIS:

James Mercedez, a 48-year-old Filipino-American bachelor and a toprank insurance company manager, on an ordinary sunny day in San Francisco, California, received a resignation email from Rico Moyes, one of his best investment managers. Rico's wife died a month ago of breast cancer and he decided to go the Philippines to live with his ailing grandparents. James was shocked of Rico's decision because he was very successful in his very lucrative job in the US, but he was no longer able to talk to him before Rico left in a seemingly hurried fashion. He was also sad to lose his best buddy. James assumed all of Rico's clients, who are among the richest young entrepreneurs in the city and scheduled a meeting with each of them.

Meetings after meetings ensued between James and the rich investors. He flirted with the women who went to bed with him. James first meeting with one of the investors, Marigold Diamond, a very young gorgeous jewelry shop owner, immediately turned into a romantic date, what with James very good flirting skills. They spent the night in a luxurious hotel paid by Marigold upon her insistence.

Next day, James woke up alone in the hotel room with a note from Marigold: "That was more fun than what you had 28 years ago" written on the back of an old photograph of a young Filipina-looking woman. James knew the woman. Everything came back to his memory through flashbacks which revealed that James was one of the four college students who drug raped that woman on the picture. It was big news in their town in Romblon Island, but not at a level that made it to national TV. It was the reason James decided on a rush to migrate to the US, where he changed his identity. James felt the urge to hide again to evade the hand of justice and went directly home.

At home, James received a voice mail from Rico saying that Rico did not really go to the Philippines but was somewhere in Mexico, but decided not to reveal his exact whereabouts as someone was trying to kill him. James knew what this meant. His life was also in danger. Another flashback revealed that Rico was one of the rapists. James received an email pop-up on his phone from some unknown sender with two photos: a news clip from last month in a Philippine tabloid about a death of some guy and a photo of a gravestone of another guy who died two months ago, both names very familiar to James. The message was clear to him. More flashbacks showed some drama with the two dead friends before the rape and when James was bidding goodbye to leave for the US. After flashback, James heard loud knocks on the door. He saw from a peep on the window that the guy outside had a gun. James fled immediately but silently to the woods at the back of the house. Some gun shots can be heard while James was running and sweating very hard, but he survived the ordeal unscathed.

What happened next was a series of road and motel scenes as James decided to exit to Mexico while evading someone, the same guy on the door, who was trying to shoot him. Many close attempts at killing him along the way. Using his very effective persuasive techniques, fake identity documents, and expert flirting skills, James successfully crossed the US-Mexico border and saw more than a week without any attempts on his life. He received a call from Rico, who turns out to be also in the same city. They met in a bar, where Rico confronted him about the rape. The dialogue revealed that Rico was forced by James and his two friends to commit the crime with them and that Rico was suffering from guilt ever since. Some drama was shown in flashback with Rico. Next, Rico brought out a gun and shot James, who narrowly escaped and ran outside the bar. Chasing scenes followed until James, hiding from a corner gave Rico a surprise blow using some hard object. James took Rico's gun and shot him point blank. But James fell down after the shot and saw the guy who was chasing him approached him. It was Marigold. Marigold revealed that she is the daughter of the rape victim, the fruit of the crime, before she put the fatal bullet to James heart. Flashback showed Rico and Marigold had an agreement for Rico to lure James to Mexico where Rico was going to finish him in return for his absolution. More flashback on Marigold's background was shown. After flashback, while Rico was still lying on the ground, Marigold shot Rico to death.
