SYNOPSIS:

When full time mom Rachel finds her old guitar she decides chase the dream that got away. The music world has changed leaving her behind but with the help of her family band she battles to recapture her rockstar dreams.

After Rachel’s youngest Angus starts participating in after school activities Rachel finds herself left with hours of boredom. While cleaning the attic she rediscovers her old guitar and with it her memories of her life before having kids.

Now a suburban Mom with an independent thinking and sometimes willful teenage daughter, Mazzy, and a “curious” but destructive seven year old, Angus, her days have mostly been laundry, packing lunches, and taxiing her kids around.

It wasn’t always this way though. Once she was lead singer of a rising rock band until she fell for her husband Tom who was the bassist of a very popular local rock band that had toured the country and traveled to Europe and Japan. With a new album about to drop Rachel discovers she is pregnant while on tour and soon finds that living in a tour van going from bar to bar is no place for a pregnant woman. When the band is given the opportunity to tour Europe for three months Rachel is too far along in her pregnancy to fly and is left behind.

Finding her old guitar reopens these old wounds but also reminds her of her love of music and band life. With her newly found free time she sets her mind on forming a new band to recapture her dreams. Unfortunately times have changed and most of her friends no longer play music and have no interest in starting up again.

Tom agrees that starting another band could be a fun hobby and they bring on his still rocker brother Sid on drums.

It’s more than a hobby for Rachel as she starts looking to book gigs, print merch, and take on the world. Starting with the local battle of the bands. Unfortunately she has no clue how to do this but will do just about anything to win.
